Mr. Bode Thompson, Vice President (Agriculture) of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), represented the Chamber at the MÜSİAD Nigeria Iftar Programme held in the spirit of Ramadan.
In his remarks, he commended MÜSİAD Nigeria for hosting a gathering that meaningfully blends faith with enterprise, noting that Ramadan reflects values of discipline, sacrifice, compassion, and generosity — principles essential for ethical business practice and sustainable development.
Mr. Thompson emphasised the need to deepen Nigeria–Türkiye trade relations, particularly in agriculture, agro-processing, food security, and value-chain development. He encouraged stronger collaboration between Nigerian and Turkish investors to unlock opportunities that will drive job creation and inclusive economic growth, reaffirming ACCI’s commitment to fostering strategic partnerships that promote investment and innovation.
Also in attendance at the Iftar programme was the ACCI Vice President, Women and Gender Matters, Engr. (Mrs.) Lawunmi Ismail.
The Ramadan gathering provided a moment of prayer, reflection, and the breaking of fast, while bringing together business leaders, diplomats, and professionals to strengthen Nigeria–Türkiye economic and trade relations. Held during the holy month of Ramadan, the event blended faith, networking, and humanitarian outreach, promoting unity and shared values among participants.
