The Director General of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Mr. Agabaidu Jideani, received a delegation from Zenith Bank Plc at the Chamber as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen strategic collaboration.

February 10, 2026

Mr. Agabaidu conceptualised a special trade-focused event to be held in partnership with Zenith Bank Plc and subsequently invited the Bank’s leadership to a review meeting to further explore areas of mutual interest and cooperation.

The concept centres on jointly delivering a China–Nigeria B2B Trade Event aimed at deepening import and export relationships between Nigerian and Chinese businesses. Discussions focused on the modalities, structure, and expected outcomes of the proposed engagement, designed to facilitate trade linkages, expand market access, and promote bilateral commercial opportunities.

The parties also explored additional areas of partnership, including the SME Business Formalization Day and the “Zero to Hero Export Training” initiative organised by Zenith Bank. Particular emphasis was placed on the Bank’s Z-Woman Programme, which supports women-owned SMEs through access to low-interest financing and business development support. Sustainability initiatives and broader capacity-building opportunities for Chamber members were equally discussed.

In attendance alongside the Director General were Hajia Hauwa Kaka Usman, General Counsel and Executive Director, Abuja Trade Centre, and Mr. Ezekwesili.

The meeting reaffirmed ACCI’s commitment to fostering strategic partnerships that drive trade, enterprise development, and sustainable economic growth.
