Easter: ACCI Calls on Members to be More Committed to Economic Development

The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has called on its members and the business community in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to rededicate themselves to the overall development of the Nigerian economy.

The President of the Chamber, Dr Al-Mujtaba Abubakar stated this in an Easter message on Friday in Abuja.

Dr Al-Mujtaba who praised the members for demonstrating resilience and commitment to the development of the country, even through the difficult economic period of COVID-19, stressed the need for the business community to redouble its efforts I contributing its quota to economic development in the FCT and Nigeria.

Dr Al-Mujtaba noted that in spite of the harsh effect of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, the members of the chamber and business community continued to work remotely to continue to oil the wheels of the economy, showing their resilience in the desire for Nigeria to have an improved economic growth.

“I want to on behalf of the Executive Committee (EXCO), Council members, Management and staff, of the ACCI use the opportunity to commend our members and the business community in general on the occasion of Easter celebrations. The chamber indeed appreciates the role you play in the development of our chamber and Nigeria’s economy. We are indeed proud of you” he said.

The ACCI President who commended he Nigerian government for its robust support for the business sector through various sectoral interventions, also emphasized the need for all businesses to register with Chambers of Commerce closer to them.

He noted that ACCI is a Grade A chamber of commerce in Nigeria that is engrossed in the task of contributing immensely towards the development of the Nigerian economy.

“ACCI is a multi-sectoral membership driven organisation that is an active player in chamber movement globally and Organised Private Sector (OPS) in Nigeria” he added.
