Delegations from various chambers of commerce and industry in Nigeria will be led by the Nigeria Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Hajia Saratu Iya Aliyu, to attend the 11th World Chambers Congress (11 WCC).

 

The event is taking place in Rio De Janeiro-Brazil from 12-14 June 2019.

 

Already, the Nigerian Embassy in Brazil has perfected arrangements to ensure a hitch-free trip to the country, our correspondent reliably gathered.

According to information exclusively obtained by Chamber Telegraph, the list of the delegation from NACCIMA Headquarters include: Hajia Saratu Iya Aliyu: National President of the association; Chief( Dr) Bayo Jimoh; National Vice President of NACCIMA and
Amb. Ayo Olukanmi, Director General of NACCIMA.

 

From the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Prof. Adesoji Adesugba who is Chairman, NACCIMA Education Committee and Provost of the ACCI Business Entrepreneurship Skills and Technology (BEST) Centre together with Ms Victoria Akai, BEST’s Director is on the entourage.

Similarly, from the Lagos Chambers of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) three representatives are to make the list.

 

It could be recalled that the BEST Centre has been nominated amongst the top 5 Chambers out of 73 entries in the 2019 edition of the World Chambers Competition Organised by the International Chambers of Commerce(ICC).

“The nomination was under the Best Education and Training Category. And the representatives from ACCI and the team from the NACCIMA including the National President will be present at the Grande Finale which is scheduled to take place on 14th June 2019, where the winner of this year’s competition will be announced.

 

“The event will be one of the major highlights of the programme of the WCC.

 

“We intend to seize the opportunity of the 11th WCC in Rio, to conclude on-going negotiations and sign Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) with a number of Chambers which are expected to be in Rio”, Chamber Telegraph reports.
