The 2nd Deputy President Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Prof Adesoji Adesugba has lauded the effort of the Rice Farmer Association of Nigeria (RIFAN) for building of the largest Rice Pyramid in the world in celebrating the annual Rice Festival.
He said Nigeria is greater than how the world portrays her adding that we are doing better in every area and this Rice Pyramids are feasible evidence that Nigeria is making progress.
“Local rice has taken over the Nigerian market and now found in our homes because it is the best in nutritional value compared to the foreign one.”
He lauded the efforts of RIFAN for the Rice revolution in Nigeria while praying for God’s blessings on the Association adding that people must know about what they are doing.
Prof Adesugba also added that ACCI premises where the pyramids are built is the best location for the Rice Festival because its located at the center accessible to Abuja residents.
“What you are doing here is laudable and ACCI shall continue to support you for increasing rice production in Nigeria.”
The National President, RIFAN, Aminu Mohammed Goronyo who welcomed Prof Adesugba at the Rice Pyramid site appreciated ACCI support for the Association.
He said the Rice revolution has come to stay with the support of CBN through the anchor borrower loan.
